I've been considering starting my own blog for a few weeks now. I like to think of myself as a creative soul who's keen to share my writing with the world. However, I'm not keen to share it with facebook world, and I feel that my short stories and poems positively drown amidst the breath-taking visual art on display at http://www.redbubble.com/people/misha
'Tis not the first time I've commandeered a blog; I stopped maintaining the last one because it defeated my purpose - instead of writing, I was merely blogging about it. So what's the difference this time? Nothing really, except that I can now admit that writing and reading about writing is more fun than sitting down and working on the real deal! I'm sure most writers would understand that: writing is a passion and a chore in equal measure.
Being a mum to a gorgeous two year old daughter, and currently 31 weeks' pregnant means that my writing time's a real luxury - which lessens the chore factor somewhat. However, I am scared of my novel this week... Hence the procrastinating blog, I guess!
Anyway, I shall keep this debut blog entry relatively short, as I'm typing this on the iPad sans keyboard attachment and it's bloody infuriating.
